Amazingly simple & guaranteed without notes

The GROOVESIGNS® method is a "language" with just 5 characters but thousands of possibilities. GROOVESIGNS® are a supplement or an introduction to "normal" notation. There are three symbols: ∆ ⨆ I as rhythm building blocks. After each symbol there is always a constant unit of rest. With the GROOVESIGNS® Handpan method, ∆ ⨆ I is played on the shoulder (= flat area next to the central tone field on the top) of the handpan. There is also a symbol: ◯ for the center (= thing), which is played exactly there on the lowest note. The ▢ symbol stands for a tone field (= note). A number shows which tone field is being played.

State-certified musician with master class qualification (KA)

VITA: Chris Groovesigns Partsch studied classical drums at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich with Prof. Adel Shalaby and graduated as a state-certified musician. At the age of 21 he was principal timpanist of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra. After returning to Germany, he completed the master class with an artistic degree (KA) at the Stuttgart University of Music with Prof. Klaus Tresselt. In 2011 he founded the first German-language Cajon school on the Internet: drum-online TV. Chris is proficient in over 20 percussion instruments. As an artist and active drummer, he is at home in a wide variety of musical styles. In 2016 he developed the "NEW GENERATION CAJON". An instrument with previously unknown features, all of which are protected by the DPMA (German Patent and Trademark Office). As the author of The Groove-Sign Book, he holds seminars in Germany, Austria and Switzerland using the GROOVESIGNS® method he developed.
