Tuning description:

The minor tuning in handpans is known to create a deep emotional resonance, often associated with melancholy and pensiveness. Typically, a handpan in a minor key consists of a central note (Ding) and several surrounding notes that are harmonized with each other. Together, these notes create a rich, dark soundscape that is suitable for both simple melodies and more complex musical structures.

The minor tunings offer the player the opportunity to dive deep into the music and create a variety of scales, from gentle, meditative sounds to intense, dramatic melodies. This makes them ideal for musicians who want to fully develop their emotional expressiveness and creativity.

*Bottom notes are additional tone fields on the underside of the handpan and are written in round brackets, e.g. (D E).
