Collection: Handpan drum made of stainless steel

Stainless steel is characterized by particularly pronounced vibration properties and a long-lasting reverberation. Handpans made of stainless steel are easy to play and have a particularly overtone-rich reverberation. The sounds flow into one another and create an intense carpet of sound.

Traditionally, the first handpans were made of nitrided carbon steel, which is still popular today for percussive, fast rhythmic playing. Due to milder crosstalk effects and a less pronounced reverberation, nitrided handpans are particularly suitable for recordings and playing together with other instruments.
