Buy Eclipse E Sabye Handpan

You are cordially invited to immerse yourself in the magical world of sound of handpans, and at an unbeatable price! The "Eclipse" series was developed to provide an affordable introduction to the fascinating world of handpans. Our Eclipse series is perfect for beginners who want to get started playing handpans and don't want to invest €1800-2000 straight away.

The Eclipse Handpan offers ideal sound quality at a unique price. When developing this handpan, we paid attention to the best possible sound quality and tuning stability in order to guarantee the best possible price-performance ratio.

Why are the Eclipse Handpans so cheap to buy?

It has always been important to us to make handpans of appropriate quality affordable for those on a tight budget. This was and still is no easy undertaking and it is simply not possible to do so for less than €1000 if a minimum standard of quality is to be guaranteed. However, as more and more cheap offers of low-quality "handpan drum instruments" under €1000 are flooding the Internet, we felt it was our responsibility to finally offer an alternative and, together with one of our manufacturers, KitaPantam, we have developed an ideal handpan that stands out in terms of its price-performance ratio. The low price is the result of optimized processes as well as time and cost-saving factors.

Are you looking for a cheap handpan? Then read this article:
-> "Buy a cheap handpan? Why I shouldn't buy a (too) cheap handpan"

It is important for us to say: The inexpensive Eclipse Handpan is no substitute for a high-quality instrument in the higher price categories. If you want an even finer and more sophisticated sound and a particularly versatile and varied handpan, you should look at the Handpan.World range in the price range between €1500-2300.
Our rule is: the more expensive, the higher the quality of the handpan instrument.

Eclipse Handpans in different tunings:

We want the Eclipse models to suit every musical taste, which is why we offer the Eclipse Handpans in various tunings with the basic notes D, E, F & F#. They are available in both minor and major tunings. We also offer oriental and exotic scales for the Eclipse Handpans.

Eclipse Handpans in minor tunings:

  • Celtic Minor / Amara ( Aeolian minor, hexatonic) - Basic tones: D & E
  • Kurd ( Aeolian minor, heptatonic) - Root notes: D, E & F#
  • Low Pygmy (Aeolian minor, pentatonic) - Basic notes: F
  • Ursa Minor ( Hexatonic) - Basic notes: D

Eclipse Handpans in major tunings:

  • Sabye (Lydian major, Heptatonic) - Basic notes: D, E & F
  • Aegean (Lydian major, pentatonic) - Root notes: D

Eclipse Handpans in exotic tunings:

  • Hijaz (Oriental, Phrygian Dominant, heptatonic) - Root notes: D, E & F#

Eclipse Handpans made of stainless steel:

The high-quality material, rust-proof and corrosion-resistant stainless steel, gives the handpan its shine and elegant appearance. The material is robust and easy to care for.

With its appealing long reverberation, the Eclipse Handpan made of stainless steel is easy to produce beautiful sounds - perfect for beginners in the handpan world.

Experience the "Eclipse" series and let yourself be inspired by the magic of handpans. Handpan World invites you to become part of this harmonious journey.

How do I properly care for my Eclipse Handpan?

Stainless steel is resistant to rusting due to its chemical composition. However, the surface can tarnish and discolor due to long-term exposure to moisture or salts such as our natural sweat or contact with acids. This can cause unwanted stains. These only have a visual impact and no effect on the sound. If you want to keep your handpan in its original condition, we recommend that you regularly clean your instrument with cleaning alcohol and care for it with the stainless steel handpan oil . Of course, appearance is also a matter of taste - if stains or discoloration appeal to you, you can experiment with less care. However, the process is more random and uncontrollable. Above all, a changed surface is difficult to reverse. It is best to make a conscious decision here right at the beginning of your handpan journey, then the routine of handpan care will be very easy for you. If you decide to do this, simply add our care oil to your shopping cart.

Important instructions:

  1. Never store your handpan in a bag.

  2. Wash your hands before each game.

  3. Clean and care for your handpan every 1-2 weeks

Tonal center : 1st tone
Mode : Lydian major
Tone range : Heptatonic

Semitones: 5- 2 -2-2-1-2-2-3

Mood description Sabye / Ashakiran:

ASHAKIRAN - Let yourself be illuminated by the ray of hope (translated from ancient Indian). Vibrating holistically, this tuning belongs to the major variations. This scale is characterized by the raised tone on the fourth level of the scale. This makes the mode Lydian. Overall, this scale sounds a little happier than the classic major tuning (Ionian). The Lydian mode is used a lot in traditional music styles, such as Forrò music in northeastern Brazil. This tuning is highly recommended for music therapy and free intuitive playing. It is also suitable for surrounding yourself with healing sounds.

“Ashakiran” is the nickname for Sabye , who expands the scale even further with a higher pitch.

The sequence of notes starts from the DING to the first note with a leap of a fourth, which acts like an upbeat. From there it goes up gradually until a small leap of a third leads up from the seventh note, which makes the note an octave of the DING. This makes the sound a little more open, so that it is not grounded in the upper octave range, but vibrates freely. In this tuning, a major triad is created on the first, second and fourth notes, and a minor triad on the first, second and third notes. This tuning sends you light, encouragement and good energy!

Suitable moods:

Very suitable for collaborative, improvised playing:

Also good for composing together:

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 5.0 / 5 from 2 reviews.

Eclipse Handpan D Celtic Minor/Amara | Edelstahl

World.

Questions & answers when buying a handpan:

Reference to manual work on our Handpan instruments

Our handpans are elaborately crafted by hand. Even though our handpans are made with the utmost care and craftsmanship, natural differences in color, slight variations in design and minimal manufacturing marks, such as fine scratches or unevenness on the tone fields and the sound body, may occur.

Visible hammer marks, which are caused by the precise tuning of the instrument by hand, are characteristic features of handmade handpans. They are evidence of authentic craftsmanship and do not represent a quality defect. On the contrary, they emphasize the uniqueness of each instrument.
