The workshops are led by Chris Groovesigns Partsch, a state-certified musician with a master class degree (KA). With his years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the unique musical instrument handpan, he is there to support and advise you.

As a passionate handpan player and connoisseur, he is at your side with personal advice and assistance. At Handpan World, we will be happy to explain the differences between the various models and help you find the instrument that suits you and meets your individual goals and musical needs.

Who is Chris?

Chris Groovesigns Partsch studied classical percussion at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich with Prof. Adel Shalaby and graduated as a state-certified musician. At the age of 21, he was principal timpanist of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra. After returning to Germany, he completed his master class studies with an artistic degree (KA) at the Stuttgart University of Music under Prof. Klaus Tresselt.

In 2011 he founded the first German-language cajon school on the internet: drumonline TV. Chris has mastered over 20 percussion instruments and is at home as an artist and active drummer in a wide variety of musical styles.

In 2016, he developed the "New Generation Cajon", an instrument with previously unknown features, all of which are protected by the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA). As the author of The Groove-Sign Book, he holds seminars in Germany, Austria and Switzerland using the GROOVESIGNS® method he developed.
