At Battiloro, the journey through the musical universe began in 2007. A group of friends, musicians and percussionists discovered the potential of a fascinating new instrument: the handpan. This passion for the instrument was combined with the expertise of experienced craftsmen, and thus Battiloro was born.

The Battiloro Handpan is made in keeping with the origins of this instrument and is entirely handmade. The two phases of careful design and sound research ensure 100% Made in Italy craftsmanship. Battiloro's team is made up of highly qualified artisans who dedicate the necessary time to each individual instrument, shaping it, tuning it by ear and finishing it until it becomes an incomparable, unique piece.

Each instrument has its own unique character, like a tailor-made garment, and reflects the personality of the musician who chooses it. We therefore recommend trying the instruments in person. We welcome you and will be happy to help you choose the instrument that best suits your tastes and needs.

In contrast to the hectic times that surround us, Battiloro presents the Moon Handpan product line. This line invites you to discover yourself through the slow practice of self-discovery. The instruments, made of stainless steel in various finishes and colors, from bronze to silver and copper, offer a deep sustain and a brilliant, crystal-clear sound. The scales range from high to very low frequencies, creating an exclusive experience that expresses the infinite range of your own inner desires. With Battiloro Handpan you will discover a world of sound possibilities that will take your musical journey to a new level.

These instruments are tuned to the 432 Hz frequency, which comes from Hindu and Buddhist traditions. In comparison to the Western world, 432 Hz tuning is the standard there instead of 440 Hz.
It is believed that it stimulates our chakras, the life energy centers, in a special way and thus promotes spiritual awakening. Healing Frequency Handpans are among the instruments with a particularly long resonance, which we recommend for meditative experiences and sound journeys. The Healing Frequency series also has its own character. These instruments are characterized by their special design and a fine tone.
Handcrafted in Italy, the Healing Frequency impresses with its striking appearance. The tones sound extremely clean and with a finesse that is also reflected in the haptic feeling when touching the surface. All in all, an all-round classy handpan.

About the Namid Handpan:

Namid is a cosmic name from Native American culture, meaning "star dancer" - an image that over time gave rise to the more inclusive and favorable expression "born under a lucky star." In the Cheyenne language, Namid is the silent music that makes the sky shine and shake: like our handpan in E minor, a scale with lengthy and complex craftsmanship that builds on the natural resonance of an extremely spacious and imposing thing that can produce highly sophisticated percussive playing. With the same precision as an arrow heading straight for the target.

Mood description Low Pygmy:

The name Pygmy is probably based on the pygmies. This scale is often used in Central African music. The Low Pygmy scale is a pentatonic variant of the Dorian minor scale. Such a combination creates a dreamy mood. The repetition of four tones over two octaves ensures a broad harmony in the mood and creates a carpet of sound rich in overtones that fills the room.

Compared to Pygmy, the sound impression of Low Pygmy remains similar and the pitch intervals are also maintained. The difference is that the top note of Pygmy is now two octaves lower and thus reflects the pitch of the DING, so that an ascending fourth is created between the DING and the first note. This means that with Low Pygmy, the first note in the circle and not the DING represents the tonal center. Overall, the LOW version sounds a little more floating in comparison.

The Low Pygmy tuning is a classic in the world of handpans for good reason and has recently become increasingly popular. The pentatonic arrangement of the notes is easy and intuitive to play and creates a melancholic, dreamy atmosphere. The tone arrangement opens up a huge melodic horizon.
